I have broken the blade on the beam cutter. Is there a source of spares for this? What is the specification so that I can order locally?

That’s correct, it’s Dremel MS53, we also have them in our shop as well here. These Dremel types should be readily available in hardware stores everywhere. Same goes for our pro-cutter products as well, but we’ve used Stanley blades there: link
